(NYT115) BAKER, La. -- May 31, 2006 -- EVACUEES-SCHOOL -- At Renaissance Village, a FEMA trailer park in Baker, La., some children spent the last school day, May 19, 2006, playing. Of the 560 children who are evacuees and were enrolled in the Baker school district in mid-September, only 190 were still attending when the school year ended. Child health experts and advocates for evacuees say that Baker, on the outskirts of Baton Rouge, is not unique. (Cheryl Gerber/The New York Times)
