After the Australians had advanced five miles along the coast from Alamein, the enemy counter attacked with tanks shown. Unfortunately for them, they tried to run the tanks across a Doggy salt flat and more than 20 sank too far in to be. The Australian gunner wrought have among them, smoking the derelict tanks and took prisoner all of the remaining area who news still alive. The tanks remain in no man's land, but any attempt at salvage on the part of the enemy is met with fierce gunfire from the Australians. At considerable Ris K, cameramen of the A.F.P.U. went out to photograph these bogged enemy tanks. The picture shows, this Italian tank, Aug. 10, 1942 in Egypt, one of the many bogged in the attack on the Australians was recovered by our own units. (AP Photo)
