Above is Staff Sgt. Wilbur E. Brandt, Cleveland, Ohio, one of the Yanks in India getting his shave in bed before reveille from an Indian barber named Mohamed Yagub on Jan. 16, 1943. The barber was picked up by this unit of America troops quartered in a hotel in New Delhi, India. Every morning the men themselves inspect him for cleanliness before he makes the rounds giving shaves in bed for about six cents. The tools of his trade hanging on his belt. (AP Photo)
