While our newly won positions around Chaouach were being consolidated on April 12th patrols were probing the country around Heidous to din the enemy's forward observation posts in the maze of hills in this area. All the high land west of Heidous was attacked and occupied by British troops on the morning of April 14th. In this picture taken near their new headquarters on a high ridge of rock, Madjez-el-Bab can be seen in the distance, Tunisia in 1943. (AP Photo)
