Życie w Algierii - Redux
Nabila Belomi, 47, a housewife, stands on the roof of her house in the Casbah of Algiers on April 19, 2013. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Casbah is the citadel of Algiers and the traditional quarter clustered around it. Today the Casbah is in a state of neglect and certain areas are threatening to collapse. Algerian authorities list age, neglect and overpopulation as the principal contributors to the degeneration of this historic neighborhood.
