'I'm an alpha male dating a transgender woman – people say our love is wrong but I will never stop fighting for us'
An “alpha male” has revealed his controversial love story with a transgender woman to give a voice to others – despite people saying it’s “wrong”.
Growing up, Jesse Schwenker believed in finding a “traditional” love, where he could provide for his wife while she stayed at home.
But the plumber, 29, soon became stuck in a loop of looking for what he thought was “right” for his “alpha male” mindset.
Then, he stumbled across Cassidy Cauley, 25, while on Instagram, and instantly became smitten with the content creator – with the pair meeting one week after messaging back and forth.
Cassidy, who revealed that she was transgender, left Jesse with a tough decision to make – put aside his values or explore true love – and now, he’s advocating for others with their whirlwind romance, despite people online calling it “wrong”.
“There is not one word or one sentence that you could possibly put together that would actually hurt me or my girlfriend,” Jesse told NeedToKnow.co.uk.
“All of the negative comments are the reason we are such a strong couple today.
“I embrace who I date and no one can take that away from me or her.
“ I let the bad words and death threats just sit on my shoulder and then I wipe them off as I continue to walk the righteous path of a rare man holding my lady’s hand through any storm.
“We didn’t share our story for likes or views – it was to break barriers and be the voice of men like myself who get looked down upon for dating a trans woman.
“I was simply looking for acceptance and someone who would stick by my side through any life changes.
“Cassidy had such an interesting and inspiring story, and I became intrigued about getting to know more.
