WORDS BY VANESSA PAPAS A woman who claims to have experienced harrowing side effects after the COVID-19 vaccination has shared how the jab meant to save her life destroyed it. At 30 years old, Jenna Lee Shaw of Cape Town, South Africa, was in the prime of her life, exploring the world with her husband through their work on yachts. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic brought unexpected challenges, leading Jenna to get vaccinated. Little did she know that this decision would lead her down a path of immense suffering and a relentless battle against what she calls a 'vaccine injury.' "I've always been blessed with great health," said Jenna. "I have trained in scuba diving, sailing, and massage. I lived a full life - I travelled the world through hard work and commitment with my husband on yachts. Then, COVID hit - it affected so many of us in various ways. But for me, I had to get the COVID vaccination due to my job and travel." A few weeks after having the vaccine, Jenna began experiencing strange symptoms. "I got this awful, blotchy rash all over me. My hands and feet swelled up and turned purple, and it hurt so much that I couldn't move them. I felt these sharp pins and needles running up my back, making my whole body ache. My skin got super itchy every single day," she explained. "I ended up in the hospital emergency room because I had a high fever and was sweating like crazy, even though I felt freezing. They gave me antihistamines and steroids to calm things down. But even weeks later, I was still dealing with these symptoms, and all the blood tests came back negative. I kept taking strong meds, thinking I could tough it out because we had work to do." Jenna and her husband, Daniel, returned to the Caribbean in response to a job offer, but the offer was unexpectedly delayed. During this waiting period, Jenna's symptoms took a dramatic turn for the worse. The medications that had previously provided some relief were now failing her. Jenna's joint pain had become so crippling that she could no longer walk unaided. Daniel became her source of support, carrying her to the shower on a chair and helping her with everyday tasks. The rashes on her skin continued to worsen, and her condition was characterised by severe inflammation, migraines, overwhelming fatigue, muscle spasms, twitches, fever-induced sweats, and the sensation that her bones were slowly being crushed. The swelling returned, particularly around her neck and collarbones, accompanied by excruciating pain. She battled burning eyes, intense spinal pain, symptoms resembling arthritis, dizziness, and pervasive discomfort throughout her body. The toll on her mental health became evident with the onset of panic attacks, reducing her to tears as she sat against the wall for hours. In desperation, Jenna once again found herself in the emergency room. Although she had medical insurance while abroad, coverage was contingent on being admitted through the emergency department, which the hospital complied with. Despite undergoing extensive testing and consultations with specialists, the medical team failed to provide a definitive diagnosis. One specialist, albeit unofficially, suggested that Jenna's condition was likely related to the vaccine. Armed with a specialist's report, Jenna and Daniel approached their insurance company to cover their medical expenses. Unfortunately, their insurance provider refused to cover any costs, leaving them with a staggering hospital bill exceeding $3,000. This financial burden depleted their savings and required them to borrow from family, all while still lacking both a diagnosis and proper treatment. Jenna's family was determined to get her the help she desperately needed, and they arranged for her to return to South Africa. It was there that Jenna finally received the care she deserved. Standard blood tests conducted in South Africa yielded valuable insights. Jenna's CRP ultrasensitive results revealed exceedingly high inflammation levels, with readings surpassing 33.7 mg/l. Additionally, her XDP coagulation test results were far from the normal range, registering below 4041, signifying severe abnormalities. These results paved the way for a diagnosis and the initiation of treatment. "It's been a month of treatments and change to homoeopathic medications, and my inflammation results have dropped to >20.0 mg/l. My doctor is impressed and says to continue with the treatments," noted Jenna. "I’ve suffered with major inflammation throughout my body as well as micro blood clots in my vessels that cause a lot of pain. Along with very itchy skin and sore rashes all over my body. The effects are so crippling I cannot resume work. I still struggle to walk, dress by myself, my hands so crippled I cannot even open a bottle. The treatments have improved these things, but it's up and down, and I have flare-ups; it takes time to flush the toxins out. Aside from the physical aspects of my health, I have been let down by my insurance company and the medical system, leaving me in an impossible situation. I have also been separated from my husband for months as he goes looking for work overseas." Jenna is actively trying to raise funds on Facebook and Backabuddy to help pay for her treatment costs, including rife machines, blood ozone therapy, intravenous vitamins, and molecular hydrogen therapy. These treatments have shown positive effects but require frequent weekly sessions for an extended period. “The blood clotting and inflammation in my body is almost completely gone. It feels amazing to be able to move without excruciating pain. Everything I am doing @lifeshine_wellness_centre is working wonders to get me back to my best health. It will take about two years to fully recover.“ "My goal is to eliminate the protein spikes produced by the vaccine that attach to cells and act as toxins in my body," she concluded.
