FLEETWOOD, UK: Lisa says that losing weight has changed her life, she's much happier now. THIS WOMAN was too scared to meet the men she chatted to online because of her size eighteen frame - but since dropping an incredible FIVE dress sizes she always makes the first move. In June 2018, team administrator Lisa James (31) from Fleetwood, UK, weighed 13st 10lb and was a UK size 18. Lisa struggled with low self-esteem, depression, and anxiety which made her feel tired, and she rarely enjoyed leaving the house. This made it difficult for Lisa to find the energy to exercise and she used to eat quick and easy-to-prepare convenience foods and chocolate to boost her energy levels. The low confidence Lisa experienced meant that she held back from dating men in real life scenarios because she worried that they wouldn?t like her due to her weight if they met her in person. Despite meeting men through online dating apps and enjoying chatting with them, Lisa would always make an excuse not to go on a first date with them for fear of judgement. When Lisa?s thirtieth birthday came around in November 2019, the fact that she was not in a relationship and didn't have kids like many of her friends had made her make the decision to lose weight so that she could enter her thirties feeling good about herself. Lisa followed a lot of weight loss accounts on Instagram and joined Slimming World in June 2018 after feeling inspired by the success of others online. Whilst walking into her first group was scary, Lisa knew that she needed to make the positive change. Lisa hasn?t looked back since and reached her goal in time for her thirtieth birthday. She now weighs a super svelte 9st 3lb and is a UK size eight. She has grown in confidence and has discovered a passion for running and the gym which is something she had never done before.
