VIDEO: 'Distressed' resident horrified to find PYTHON hiding in toilet in the middle of the night
A “distressed” resident was horrified to find a python lurking in their toilet during a late-night bathroom visit.
Panicked, they called for help, with snake catcher Tim Hudson attending the scene.
The 32-year-old has rescued many households from slithery, unwanted intruders.
But his latest mission left his skin crawling – and has since gone viral on social media in a video that has 19,000 views.
“The clients didn’t have much hope that it would come out,” the snake catcher told What's The Jam.
“We were able to inspect it with a plumbing camera to identify that it was [hiding] in the pipes.
“I crawled under the house and used a yellow tongue, a building material, to force it up out of the toilet.”
Tim, who named the carpet python ‘Pooey’, says that one in three homes in the area have a snake secretly burrowing – with no idea.
In a post, he wrote: “The snake can now choose a more hygienic place to chill rather than deep in a toilet.”
The clip begins by showing the reptile slithering out from the back of the toilet and around the bathroom floor.
Tim shows how the rescue mission went, revealing the sewage pipe and the animal’s hiding spot.
The snake emerges from deep within the toilet and into the bowl, before showing its face.
Tim uses a tool to extract the reptile, as someone says, “Oh my god” in the background.
Despite his expertise, even he was “grossed out”.
He places the unwanted guest into a sack to later release into the wild.
Users have flocked to the comments to share their reactions.
“This is why I turn the light on when I pee at night,” Amanda said. [sic]
Elaine added, “Always check the toilet first before I sit down.” [sic]
“Eeeekkk!!! Gross! Don’t know if I’ll ever feel safe on the loo again,” Midge commented. [sic]
Nadine said: “Naaa I’ll just pee in the bath thanks lol.” [sic]
“Stuff of nightmares,” Roger added.
Tim, who carried out the rescue in Queensland, Australia, added: “I have caught snakes in this situation, in and around toilets and showers, before.
“Keep your homes tidy and gardens maintained.
“There’s not much you can do to avoid snakes here.
“Just understand they aren’t there to hurt you.
“But check the toilet before you sit down, down under.”
