Kankakee, Illinois August, 2011 Carlos Campos Migrated to the US some 19 years ago. Workers mostly from Rio Grande, Texas. Come to Illinois. To work the cornfields. Most of the workers are Mexicans who live in the United States and migrate from Texas to work the fields. Many of these workers work under extreme situations. Some get sick from pesticides, others end up injured while working under extreme hot weather conditions and some end up dying on the job.
