The Digital Content Unit is tasked with digitising all content for the Cambridge Digital Library, a public, open access database of 735,000 items. The Digital Library, set up in 2007, has been viewed in every single country in the world, and digitises material from multiple institutions. Within the department there are five photographers. The digitising process including photographing, multi spectral imaging, 3D imaging, traditional studio work, video work, and photogrammetry (3D modelling). No post-processing occurs to avoid altering the pixels and ensuring maximum image quality. The Unit abides by the highest standard of the heritage photography world. L'unite de contenu numerique est chargee de numeriser tous les contenus pour la bibliothcque numerique de Cambridge, une base de donnees publique en libre acccs de 735 000 articles. La bibliothcque numerique, creee en 2007, a ete consultee dans tous les pays du monde et numerise des documents provenant de plusieurs institutions. Le departement compte cinq photographes. Le processus de numerisation comprend la photographie, l'imagerie multi spectrale, l'imagerie 3D, le travail traditionnel en studio, le travail video et la photogrammetrie (modelisation 3D). Aucun post-traitement n'est effectue pour eviter d'alterer les pixels et assurer une qualite d'image maximale.
