Prof. Vandana Nanal is a professor at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) in the Department of Nuclear and Atomic Physics. Her major areas of research are experimental nuclear physics and accelerator physics. She has played a major role in development and commissioning of superconducting linear accelerator, a joint TIFR–BARC Facility. She is leading the effort to set up an experiment to search for neutrinoless double beta decay in India.
Prof. Vandana Nanal : “I like doing experiments. I have read the stories about Marie Curie when I was a kid. I liked combination of nuclear physics and accelerator physics. To learn how the things, which you cannot even see, works. Thats a fun. I have curiosity to see how something works."

Vandana Nanal est professeur au Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) dans le département de physique nucléaire et atomique. Ses principaux domaines de recherche sont la physique nucléaire expérimentale et la physique des accélérateurs. Elle a joué un rôle majeur dans le développement et la mise en service de l'accélérateur linéaire supraconducteur, une installation conjointe TIFR-BARC. Elle dirige les efforts visant à mettre en place une expérience pour rechercher la double désintégration bń™ta sans neutrinol en Inde.
Prof. Vandana Nanal : "J'aime faire des expériences. J'ai lu des histoires sur Marie Curie quand j'étais enfant. J'ai aimé la combinaison de la physique nucléaire et de la physique des accélérateurs. Apprendre comment les choses, que vous ne pouvez mń™me pas voir, fonctionnent. C'est amusant. J'ai la curiosité de voir comment quelque chose fonctionne."
