Pictures MUST credit: LEGO LEGO has created the fastest vehicle ever assembled from its building bricks — in the shape of a supercar from Swedish maker Koenigsegg. The life-sized LEGO version of the new $5.2 million USD Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear hit 111 km/h a the challenging hill climb course in the UK The Koenigsegg is a 1,625-hp megacar launched this year and limited to just 30 units which have already sold out. The build and climb was to celebrate the release of a scaled-down , one eighth-sized LEGO Technic edition of the car. The speed test was done at legendary British motorsport estate Goodwood where iconic historic and modern racing machines thrill massive crowds on its famous 1.16-mile /1.87 km hillclimb. The build was driven by Koenigsegg Test Driver Markus Lundh who set the all-time hill climb record in the Sadair’s Spear in 2025 during the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It does not have an engine so the speed was built up by using nothing more than gravity. The car was manually pushed to start, then gravity pulled its 1,800 kg weight down the slope. The only electricity used came from small LEGO hub batteries, but these only powered the steering assist, the brakes, the lights, and motorised doors. Coasting down hill the build managed to achieve a top speed of 111k m/h - setting the speed record as the fastest drivable LEGO car ever created by the LEGO Group. The life-size, drivable LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear was constructed from 327,906 LEGO elements, weighs approximately 1,800kg, of which 400kg is LEGO elements.
