The self-cultivation of the cannabis is one of the (still illegal) alternative solutions that patients can follow to access medical treatments with cannabinoids. The price of the pharmaceutical "cannabis flos" is hugely disproportionate compared to the actual cost of the product, which is mainly imported from Holland. The price, the difficult bureaucratic process and a certain cultural resistance, make this an uncommon therapy rarely prescribed.
