KSIAZE KAROL RETRO
PHOTO: EAST NEWS/REX FEATURES Prince Charles headed to the tropical greenhouse at West London's Kew Gardens on Monday where he inspected the cacti on display - and jokingly refused to stop and chat to them (24 February). As he walked past the plants the prince said: "I suppose I am meant to have a meaningful conversation here." He added: "I don't talk to cacti - they are far too dangerous." The comment was apparently a reference to a 1986 TV documentary in which Charles suggested he talks to his plants.
