An oddly dressed person the 5th Zinneke Parade 2008 goes through the center of Brussels, Saturday 31 May 2008. Zinneke means in Brussels dialect the little Senne, the river that contours Brussels to avoid floods, as well as a dog, the result of a mix of all different races, that often ended his life in the Senne. Zinneke Parade is an urban, cultural movement by and of citizens, associations, schools and artists from every Brussels community or from outside of it. Every two year it takes over the streets of the city centre with a multi-coloured, contemporary, creative and artistic parade.The theme of the 5th edition of the parade was water. More than 2500 artists took part in the parade.
