In a cheerful early nod to spring, a UK zoo is welcoming the arrival of twin lambs, marking the beginning of lambing season.
Last year, Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm in North Somerset embraced a sweet-inspired naming theme, with lambs christened Curly, Wurly, and Wispa. Continuing the tradition, the zoo has opted for a savoury twist this year - crisps.
Molly Shutt, of Noah's Ark Zoo Farm in Wraxall, said: "Our first lambs of 2025 have been born; the first two twins are called Nik and Nak.
"This year the theme for our lamb names is crisps.
"Our farm team started off the naming for these two, and now we're asking for suggestions for the other lambs.
"Our hearts have been officially stolen."
Dorset lambs, known for their distinctive white woolly coats and friendly nature, are prized for their adaptability and fine-textured wool.
