This August 2018 marks the 400th jubilee of quaint and popular Copenhagen quarter Christianshavn. We have gathered a collection of the best images over the years of one of the pretties, most interesting and diverse parts of Copenhagen. Christianshavn is marked by its canals and close proximity to the harbor and has historically been the home of sailors and all the implies. Over the years it has become more polished and now house some of the cosiest back gardens and canal walks. But the history of the quarter is still right in front of your eyes as freetown Christiania shows the hippie past, the old sailors' home and the iconic bodega Rottehullet from famous tv series "The House In Christianshavn" (Huset paa Christianshavn) hint at simpler times and many original houses still stand in all their colorful splendor.
