U.S. Salvage operation in Eritrea where Italians scuttled ships and wrecked equipment before British took over. The American salvage tug stands by a big floating crane, scuttled by the Italians before the high tailed it out of Massawa, Feb. 18, 1943. It was raised by captain Edwards Ellsberg?s men.
