On exhibition in the new Audubon Bird Hall of the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia, Pa, is this color portrait of John James Audubon painted in 1841 by his sons, John Woodhouse Audubon and Victor Audubon. John James Audubon, the American bird painter, was a member of the Academy and made his first public exhibition in the Academy in 1824.
