On the way back from meeting President Roosevelt, Britain's Prime Minister Winston Churchill landed from H.M.S. Prince of Wales at Reykjavik, Iceland, he walked down lines of British and American troops and also Norwegian sailors and later took the salute at the march past. The forces were drawn up on a roadside on the outskirts of the town and the Prime Minister walked down the ranks.
