When their ships tied up at Table Bay in February, American gobs were taken by South African Women's Auxiliary Service members to various historic landmarks. They visited Dutch-type Cape homesteads, vineyards and Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa on July 13, 1942. The sailors also attended the great Rosebank Agricultural Show. Among the U.S. Sightseers were left to right: D.H. Lewis of Amarillo, Texas; E.T. Spoth of Buffalo, N.Y., and R.H. Rodgers of Adrian, Mich.
