May 6, 2021: Early in the morning, a person takes shelter from the cold on one of the stones of the sacred mount Cardoso Fontes in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Many of the evangelical believers spend the night in fasting as a form of sacrifice to be able to have their moment close to God and have their requests for blessing answered. The Mount Cardoso Fontes, located in an ecological forest park in one of the main neighborhoods of the city of Rio de Janeiro, is considered a sacred place for evangelicals. It is the relationship of faith with nature that moves evangelical believers to seek a closer relationship with God and a purification of the soul.
