FYI - I wanted to give my lil two cents on this topic. By me posting a picture of myself on here, I am NOT back to normal. So many white folks out there asking.. when are we going to get back to normal? When will social media and life in general go back to normal. I fucking hate that bitch, Normal. I dont know her anymore. I will continue to use my voice and my platform to amplify black voices. I will continue to do all that I can to on here to spread credible information. More importantly, I will do all I can do in my personal life to continue to have these tough conversations, be an ally, and continue to learn in the process. By posting this photo, I am not diminishing. I feel like this is a huge wake up call for a majority of us.. learning how powerful our social medias and our voices combined can stir shit up and get people moving in the right direction. Call out brands. Call out CEOS and important people! My instagram will continue to be my place of business, my virtual modeling portfolio, my place of inspiration photos and lots of pups.. but NOW itll also be a place where im no longer afraid to take a stand for something we (white people) were all too busy to realize has always been going on, but some of us were too distracted or didnt want to.
