Batch of the Day! NICU babies dressed up in teeny tiny adorable World Cup outfits – with football booties, blankets and a mini referee
Tiny newborns in intensive care have been dressed in adorable World Cup-themed outfits complete with football booties, mini trophies and even a pint-sized referee.
With football fever sweeping the globe, nurses made sure some of the world’s youngest fans could join in the fun despite facing a difficult start to life.
The precious babies, all being cared for in neonatal intensive care units, were transformed into miniature football stars in a heartwarming photoshoot.
One adorable snap shows baby Jaxson dressed as a football and posing in front of a goal.
Another features little Amari taking charge as the world’s cutest referee.
The pictures were shared by medical workers from Methodist Health System in Dallas, Texas, as reported by NeedToKnow.
The post was published on 9 June and quickly melted hearts online.
Several babies were photographed wearing tiny knitted football boots, while others posed alongside miniature World Cup trophies.
The adorable images prompted an outpouring of praise from football fans and parents alike.
One person said: “They’re all winners.”
Another person added: “So precious.”
A third viewer commented: “What cuties.”
The babies featured in the heartwarming project were from several Methodist Health System centres across Texas.
Nurses from the Charlton, Mansfield, Dallas and Richardson locations all took part.
Among the newborn stars were Saira, Amari, Angel, Jaxson, Sa’vion, Alyssa, Benjamin, Olivia, Emersyn and Danica.
For families navigating the challenges of life in the NICU, the football-themed photos offered a welcome moment of joy.
And judging by the reaction online, these tiny football fans have already won plenty of supporters.
