VIDEO: Ghost-hunting parents dubbed ‘UK’s Addams Family' SLAMMED for using kids to speak with the dead A ghost-hunting family have been slammed for using their kids to speak with the dead. JP Kenny and Kymmi Jeffery love to visit different locations in the UK with their Hasbro glow-in-the-dark talking board. The 35-year-old and his partner, 38, also take their two daughters, Snow, aged 12, and Pebble, eight, along with them. Their home is filled with haunted items and they have a hearse for the family car, which sees them dubbed the UK’s Addams Family. They often document their travels online and have amassed more than 44,000 followers on Facebook. While some people enjoy their spooky explorations, JP and Kymmi have received backlash for involving both Snow and Pebble. “We were reported a lot on TikTok for using the board with the girls which resulted in us receiving a live ban,” JP and Kymmi, from Middlewich, Cheshire, told NeedToKnow. “We do get funny looks from others and people have threatened to call child services on us. “There is more chance of the girls being endangered by going to the park than the use of a talking board. “We have been travelling around with our Ouija board and conducting sessions here, there and everywhere. “We have been to numerous pubs, beaches, parks, cafes, and historic places thought to be haunted venues. “We are doing consciousness research on the boards - it’s a channelling tool to connect with energies or otherworldly beings.” The four, who call themselves The Occult Family, have visited over 50 locations which they believe to be haunted. They’ve visited Graisley Old Hall in Wolverhampton, and the site of the Pendle Hill witch trials, located in Lancaster, York. The furthest place they have used the board is while on holiday in Kos, Greece. Kymmi said: “We have had some crazy experiences. “JP once had a glass lift up in mid-air, which made four guests leave our event as they were shocked and too scared to stay. “We have also had six different boards spelling out the same name at the same time. “When we are on the board as a family the connection is stronger, so we are able to extract information that matches the buildings we are in.” The family have highlighted that not all communications with the board have to be sinister and that not all locations that they visit end up being active. They are hoping through sharing their experiences, they can change people’s opinions of the paranormal. The couple, who both work as therapists, also run a ghost-hunting business in addition to their everyday jobs. They have said that they find being compared to The Addams Family to be a “compliment”.
