The otter readies itself for the perfect dive ABERDEEN, SCOTLAND HILARIOUS IMAGES show an otter doing its best Tom Daley impression by executing the perfect dive taken on Wednesday February 28th 2024.
Images show the otter standing on the side of the bank like it is their own personal high dive before reaching out its paws to make the perfect diving shape.
These images were captured by offshore oil and gas tank cleaner Mark Deans (37) from Aberdeen Scotland.
Mark captured the playful otter on the River Don, Aberdeen Scotland on his Canon 1D mark three with a sigma 150-600 mm lens.
“This is a normal sight at this time of year with the dog otter in Aberdeen very playful, said Mark. “You can always find them jumping off the river bank.
“The otter was running along the bank at first then I saw it getting ready to jump and had to click quickly to get the dive, maybe they saw some food or just wanted a swim.
“The otter shot I like the best is the mirror image of it almost in a perfect C shape over the water.
“Otters are some of my favourite animals to take pictures of, they have a lot of personality and can always be relied upon for a fun shot.
“I love these kinds of images because they are a one off and no one else has got them.”
