Bizarre 'Hobbit' house where you can mow the grass ROOF up for sale
A house with a grass roof that has been likened to the homes in The Hobbit movies has gone on the market at $425,000.
The quirky home is nestled in the hills of Elverson in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
Boasting three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the property has gone viral on social media – drawing comparisons to The Hobbit series thanks to its rather unique look.
The ‘Arch-Tech’ home has arched walls and an energy-efficient grass roof – which the listing says will help keep heating and cooling costs low.
The property also comes with four acres of land, with views of the surrounding hills.
The listing reads: “The architecture of this home is one of a kind for this area.
“The home needs TLC but the potential is immense.”
Pictures of the property garnered nearly 5,000 likes on Facebook, with users taking to the comments section to discuss the interesting exterior.
One person said: “I’d like to live in the Shire!”
“Looks like a large Hobbit Hole!” said another fan.
