August 25, 2022 Reclusive Oscar winner Tim Robbins is spotted for the first time since terms of his divorce from Romanian actress Gratiela Brâncuşi was finalized and in his first public sighting in America for over TWO YEARS. The actor and activist, 63, was picking up groceries at trendy organic supermarket Erewhon on the afternoon of August 25, 2022 then did his bit for the environment by packing them onto the back of his bike before driving off to his next destination. Tim keeps a very low profile these days and was last spotted Stateside when he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show right before the pandemic hit in March 2020. Last year he did pop up in London arm-in-arm with a mystery woman, around the time of his initial split from 1883 star Gratiela, who at 33 is 30 years his junior and in the same age bracket as his two adult kids. News of the pair’s divorce came as a huge surprise to fans since they kept it secret that they’d tied the knot in the first place. Tim’s most serious romance before that was with actress Susan Sarandon, with whom he co-parents two adult sons. They never married but dated for 23 years until their split in 2009. For his outing Tim wore a blue hooded top, gray sweatshirt, surfer shorts and flip flops. He spent around 20 minutes in the store, which is a firm favorite amongst the wealthier LA residents and renowned for its organic selections. Tim won Best Supporting Actor in 2004 for performance in Mystic River alongside Sean Penn, is perhaps more famous for co-starring alongside Morgan Freeman in the 1994 smash hit The Shawshank Redemption, where he played fictional character named Andy Dufresne, a shy banker who dug his way out of prison after almost 17 years in captivity following a wrongful murder conviction. The movie is widely regarded as one of the all-time classics although it lost out that year to Forrest Gump and was also competing alongside Pulp Fiction and Four Weddings and a Funeral for Best Picture.
