A demonstration of how a rainbow occurs. A ray of light is focused on a plastic sphere on the other side of a screen from a light source and focusing lens. The sphere refracts and reflects the beam back to the screen, producing the rainbow's color. The same setup is used for demonstrating the principle of the reflecting telescope.
