Birds have been exhausting themselves by attacking their own reflection in car windows. A sign warning pedestrians to park 'elsewhere' was pinned on a tree near a nature reserve after tired Goldcrests used up all their energy fighting their reflection.
John Combes, in his 70s, photographed the phenomena at Blashford Lakes in Ringwood - which belongs to the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. The retired business studies lecturer said: "The Goldcrest along with the rare Firecrest are the UKÕs smallest birds. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS
