A grey seal mother and pup cuddle up NORFOLK, ENGLAND ADORABLE IMAGES of seals kissing and cuddling have been captured. Images show grey seal pups and harbour seals enjoying time bobbing in the water before affectionately playing together on land. These images were taken by mechanical technician Asa Diaper (40) from Portsmouth, England. Asa took these images on their Nikon Z8 - Nikon 500mm pf in Horsey Gap, Norfolk, England. “Baby seal pups less than three weeks old were playing and being affectionate with the other seals,” said Asa. “At three weeks the mothers leave them and the white coat moults exposing a more familiar adult looking coat. “The UK hosts around 40% of the grey seal population and between Oct/Jan they will come ashore to give birth and mate. “Around this time of year there can be literally thousands of seals on certain beaches around the UK. “When you manage to capture certain shots that you'd hoped for you always get a bit of a buzz, wildlife can be a game of many hours waiting for a few minutes worth of action, sometimes the wait pays off, it's what keeps you going back. “My favourite has to be one of the more intimate shots of mum and pup, it was interesting watching the pup playing in the sea before coming back and having a nice playful moment with it's mum. “Being one to one with nature is good for the mind in general, getting moments like this caught on camera is always special.” ENDS
