In this picture taken on October 12, 2022, a worker sorts broken glass bangles to be reused at a bangle factory in Firozabad. - The Indian industrial town of Firozabad has been making glass bangles for more than 200 years, supplying millions of the ornamental bands – worn by women in their daily lives and sold as gifts during festivals like Diwali and weddings -- all around India. The northern town’s 400 manufacturing units, from large factories to small family-run units in private homes, employ an estimated 500,000 people, some of them children, earning as little as 500 rupees ($6) per day.
