Karrah Crain, 23, from Houston, Texas, US, was driving home one evening after watching a movie with her boyfriend when she spotted a frog hanging from the side mirror of her moving car. ?? The seasonal naturalist was astonished that the amphibian had managed to hold on to the vehicle, which was travelling at a speed of 60mph. ?? In an attempt to save the poor creature, Karrah reached her hands out so it could jump to safety, and the frog gratefully hopped inside. Excited by the turn of events, the amphibian jumped all over the vehicle, and eventually crawled into the vent in??the dashboard, which became its safe spot during the rest of the ride. ?? Karrah named the frog Geoffrey and decided to keep him as her new pet. ?? ??sI spotted the frog when my boyfriend and I were driving home from seeing Candyman and I was having a smoke,??? Karrah told Jam Press. ?? ??sHe was hanging onto the part of the side mirror that connects to the car for dear life. ?? ??sSo, I tossed my cigarette, I was almost done anyway, so I could keep my hands out there in case he jumped. ?? ??sAnd then he was in my hands and I put him in the car. ?? ??sHe jumped onto the hot dashboard so I grabbed him off of there. ?? ??sHe then proceeded to jump onto the vent, crawl inside and turned around and sat like that till we got home.??? ?? Geoffrey now lives with Karrah, and loves eating bugs around the porch light every night. ?? She said: "I just tossed him in a plant on the porch because we have tons of frogs that like to stick around at night, so I thought he would like to live here. "We have lots of insects in Texas and it rains frequently, so our area is kind of a frog haven." The frog owner uploaded a post about her new pet on her Facebook page, which has since racked up over 11,000 likes, as users praised her for saving the animal. ??sWhat a good human, you are!,??? one person said. ?? ??sThank you for saving him," added someone else. ??sYou gave him a ride and a new home, now he???s repaying you with a lifetime of free pest control. I think he deserves more respect than you???re giving him,??? a third person added. ??sThat's a grey treefrog! I used to have a couple as pets.
