A giant Mount Rushmore-style sculpture of the G7 leaders heads, has been unveiled in a public space outside of Stockport Railway Station, Greater Manchester on 21 July 2021. Pictured left-right are Yoshihide Suga, Prime Minister of Japan. Mario Draghi, Prime Minister of Italy. Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada. Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany. Joe Biden, President of the USA. Mount Recyclemore is made entirely of discarded electronics, having first appeared on a beach in Cornwall during the G7 climate summit, and is set to spend the summer in the town. The sculpture aims to highlight the environmental threat of electronic waste, of which the UK is one of the worst global offenders.
