One of the stingrays demonstrated how friendly they are. MOOREA, FRENCH POLYNESIA: In one image, a 200-pound stingray floated over the shoulder of the swimmer and appeared to be smiling as she took a selfie of the two of them together. In another, a huge stingray swam overhead, dwarfing the swimmer by comparison and blocked out the sunlight coming from above. The stunning photographs were taken by field biologist Kori Garza (29) from Moorea, French Polynesia. The pictures were taken in the lagoon of Moorea, also French Polynesia.
