A chef has shared his ultimate trick for making quick and easy breakfast sandwiches using a single frying pan. Khalid El Mahi, 36, from Italy, posted the genius hack on TikTok, where it has since gone viral with over 52.8m views as users rush to the comments section to praise the culinary mastermind. Khalid can be seen adding two slices of cheese to a frying pan, before pouring in beaten eggs and adding two slices of bread. He turns the bread over, adds salt and pepper and waits for the egg to cook. The chef then flips the whole thing over like a pancake, adding tomato, avocado and lettuce on the egg. Khalid proceeds by folding in the corners of the egg and adds two more slices of cheese. To finish off the sandwich, he simply folds it in half, with the melted cheese, egg and salad neatly stacked inside. During lockdown, Khalid found himself at home with nothing to do as a result of the pandemic. He started filling his time by making TikTok videos so he was able to keep cooking and quickly racked up three million followers, along with 43,000 on Instagram. As a dad, he appreciates the need for quick, easy recipes. "I developed this sandwich based on what could be a simple, fast and above all healthy breakfast," he told Jam Press. "Give [the sandwich] a personal touch inspired by your tastes. "I started creating simple video recipes for everyone. "I just followed my tastes and those of my beautiful family." The video, which has been watched over 52.6 million times, made TikTok drool. "Now I am hungry," said one commenter. "That looks so good. I want to try that," said another person.
