Introducing Roswell: the adorable miniature dapple dachshund who has both beauty and brains, and can solve basic maths equations. The three-year-old dog lives with owners Megan Robicheau, 28, and Chris Whitten, 27, in Boston. The long-haired chocolate and tan pooch moved in with the couple in October 2017, after they found him through a breeder when he was just 10 weeks old. Thanks to his undeniable cuteness, Roswell has become an Instagram (@roswell_weenie) sensation with over 58,300 followers, but his fame isn't just about good looks, as this clever dog is capturing hearts thanks to his math skills, too. Among the dog's most popular videos is one of him solving maths equations using the numbers one to three written on cards. As Megan asks Roswell what three minus two is, the intelligent pooch picks up the number one with his mouth, before dropping it back down as his owner rewards him with a treat. Megan then asks him what two plus one is, and the super-smart dog picks up the card with a number three written on it. Finally, he correctly solves one plus one by picking up the card with the number two written on it. The clip has racked up nearly 7,000 views and hundreds of comments. "While I can't reveal exactly how I taught him, and continue to teach him tricks, I will say that consistency and treats work!," Megan told Jam Press, adding that it took the dog just one week to learn the equations, after practising 15 minutes per day. "He loves it. He loves the reward and also seems to love when he figures out a new trick. It's good for them mentally. As well as solving maths equations, Roswell can also be seen in a different video playing a colour game with three cards in green, pink and blue.
