There were marks up the walls from decay and mould. DERBYSHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM:SPOOKY images show the remnants of an abandoned boys school believed to be haunted after students suffered years of abuse. In one image, the abandoned school was shown with smashed windows and overgrown ivy and trees which have sprouted from the building itself, along with uncut grass and graffiti up the wall that reads, ?In your dreams.' Another image showed a room that has had a battle with destruction as parts of the ceiling and wall have crumbled to the floor and on top of destroyed appliances such as a discarded washing machine, leaving behind debris and dust of a building forgotten in time. Others showed a dark, eerie hallway that led to empty corridors, whilst another showed a room with a broken and smashed wall cabinet along with discarded cardboard and shelving. These spooky images were taken by urban explorer Rick Swindells (37) from Congleton, Cheshire, UK, who captured the images in Derbyshire, UK. The school - also known as ?The Taxal Centre? - was shut down in 2005 due to an Ofsted investigation which found a care worker guilty of sexually abusing and grooming young boys at the school and has been left untouched for nine years. Rick used a Samsung s10 Plus phone to capture these eerie images. The abandoned school was once known as a school for ?disruptive and emotionally disturbed? boys which was established in 1950. ?The Lodge? was home to around 60 boys who suffered years of abuse at the hands of teachers and carers at the school where explorers believe the place is now haunted. mediadrumworld.com/@uk_abandoned
