American Astronaut and Air Force pilot Francis R. Scobee poses in this undated photo. Scobee was the pilot of STS-41-C, the fifth orbital flight of the Challenger spacecraft on April 6, 1984. He was the spacecraft commander on the space shuttle Challenger STS-51-L, which exploded 73 seconds after liftoff at Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Jan. 28, 1986. All seven crewmembers were killed. Scobee was born on May 19, 1939. (AP Photo)
