In combined operation on the night of Feb. 28, 1942, joint forces of the Royal Air Force, Army and Royal Navy, attacked and destroyed an important German radio location port at Brunlval, on the coast of France, twelve miles north of Havre. Parachute troops of an airorne division were dropped by bombers of the R.A.F. and were supported in the latter part of their task by infantry. The attackers and German prisoners taken during the raid, were brought back to Britain by the Royal Navy. One of the landing craft used during the raid, on its return to port. (AP Photo)
