Ecuador, Amazonia, San Carlos, 05 February 2021 Silvia Yanez, 32, is a liver cancer patient, diagnosed with hodgkin's lymphoma. She says that she has had cancer for fourteen years, that she can't get her exams because there are no specialized hospitals in the region. To get treatment she had to travel a lot to Guayaquil to find a specialized hospital. She says she discovered tumors at the age of 18 when pregnant, while doing a routine exam. Cancer cost her pregnancy, she lost her baby and also her fertility. "Even after years of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, I still have to have tests every 6 months because I am at high risk and at any moment I can have a relapse." Today Silvia is one of the leaders of the UDABT movement and helps several cancer patients in the Amazon region. Equateur, Amazonie, San Carlos, 05 fevrier 2021 Silvia Yanez, 32 ans, est atteinte d'un cancer du foie, diagnostique comme un lymphome hodgkinien. Elle dit qu'elle a un cancer depuis quatorze ans, qu'elle ne peut pas passer ses examens car il n'y a pas d'h?pitaux specialises dans la region. Pour se faire soigner, elle a d? faire de nombreux voyages jusqu'r Guayaquil pour trouver un h?pital specialise. Elle dit avoir decouvert les premicres tumeurs r l'?ge de 18 ans, alors qu'elle etait enceinte, lors d'un examen de routine. Le cancer lui a co?te sa grossesse, elle a perdu son bebe et aussi sa fertilite. "Meme aprcs des annees de radiotherapie et de chimiotherapie, je dois encore faire des examens tous les 6 mois car je suis r haut risque et r tout moment je peux avoir une rechute."
