Pictured: A gannet cruises through the air as a peregrine falcon suddenly swoops down and attacks it from above. The display of aggression was captured by wildlife photographer Robin Chittenden, who saw the falcon brandish its talons as it protected its territory in Yorkshire's Bempton Cliffs nature reserve. The 61 year old from Norwich said: "I was photographing the seabirds from one of the viewpoints. "I noticed a peregrine was flying out from the cliffs and attacking passing herring gulls as well as hunting. It would then return, presumably to its nest which was on part of the cliffs out of view.
