Pictured: Collection volunteer, Alex Crisp, polishes the hood of Field Marshall Montgomery Rolls Royce. Field Marshall Montgomery drove the Rolls Royce on Normandy beach, three days after the allies invaded France as part of World War 2. The Rolls Royce is now stored at the new Royal Logistic Corps Museum, at Worthy Down Barracks, Winchester, Hants. The museum, alongside its full collection of army memorabilia, was moved to the new site from its old home at the Princess Royal Barracks near Camberley in Surrey. The museum will finally be able to open its doors to the public for the first time on 18th May, with the opening coinciding with the further lifiting of the Governments lockdown restirctions. ?
