Bieda w Indonezji - Redux
A child cries in slum area in North Jakarta on April, 2021. The number of poor people in Indonesia rose by 2.76 million in the year to September 2020 to reach a total of 27.55 million, or 10.19% of the population, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the statistics bureau said on February 2021. The government is confident Indonesia's economy would return to an expansion mode in the first quarter this year, banking on the government spending increase, manufacturing growth, and exports, after a persistent rise of the Covid-19 cases prevent the country from escaping its first recession in 22 years last year. With around 1.54 million cases and 41,900 deaths so far, Indonesia has the highest caseload in Southeast Asia and one of the worst epidemics in Asia.
