Pictured: Young boys with sriking face paints, representing traditional gods and demons in West Bengal. Performers paint their faces as traditional Gods and demons before roaming the streets. The young boys perform year-round to make a living - dressing as traditional Indian ghosts and kings and using props like sticks and bamboo flutes. The impersonators also wear home-made bandanas adorned with shells and roam around local towns, begging for money. The striking photos were taken by professional photographer Happy Mukherjee, in the cities of Tarkeshwar and Canning in the Indian state of West Bengal.
