Kobiety Rohingja w Bangladeszu - Redux
A rainy view of Kutupalong Rohingya refugee camp in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. It is still relatively rare to see Rohingya women moving through the public spaces of the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh. Before coming to Bangladesh, women's participation in public life was highly restricted and they had little meaningful involvement in public decision making. In a conservative culture where women are expected to remain home, women are changing Rohingya culture by taking up jobs for the first time, becoming leaders, and gaining awareness of empowerment and their basic rights. ?
