BATTLE TO THE DEATH: Shocking wildlife photos show moment pack of cheetahs brutally take down a zebra and feast on their prey?? A wildlife photographer has captured the shocking moment a pack of cheetahs take down a zebra ??" before feasting on their prey. The photo series begins with a lone zebra racing away from a pack of four cheetahs as they move to surround him. The terrified animal can be seen attempting to make a getaway, with its legs kicking in the air. Unfortunately, the foursome proved to be too fast for the zebra ??" and in the incredible nature photos can be seen leaping onto the striped mammal's left side, using their front paws to secure it in place. Claws firmly out, one of the cheetahs scrambles onto the zebra and appears to use its sharp teeth on the animal's back. The rest of the pack then surrounds its prey as the zebra once again attempts to flee, appearing to cry out in pain from the brutal attack. In one picture, two of the cheetahs attack at once, claws and jaws bared as the zebra finally tumbles to the ground. Overpowered but not admitting defeat just yet, the zebra tries to kick off its attackers ??" but to no avail. Blood can be seen on its cheek near the spot where one of the cheetahs appeared to bite at the mammal. In a final gruesome image, the four cheetahs feast on the zebra, it???s entrails on show as the big cats rip the animal apart, satisfied with their hunt. The wildlife scene was documented by wildlife photographer Ahmed Abu Ganem, 30, from Israel, during a trip to Masai Mara, a large national game reserve in Narok, Kenya, in November 2020. ??sI was very excited to see it in front of my eyes live after long hours of waiting,???
