Unfortunately it won't be one of the brands amazing super sports cars, but you can bid on an original 1964 1 R Lamborghini tractor,completely restored by the authorized Lamborghini center and certified by the Ferrucio Lamborghini museum. The orange and blue tractors were a familiar site in many Italian fields in the 1950's and 60's. Ferrucio Lamborghini, whose family were farmers, founded the company known as Lamborghini Trattori in 1948 using discarded war materials to make his first tractor. He soon was making and selling 200 a year and business was booming. By 1962 the company was producing four wheel drive tractors with air cooled engines. Then, after a disagreement with Enzo Ferrari about a faulty and nosiy clutch in his Ferrari 250 GT, Lamborghini decided to start making his own sports car, In 1963 he launched the Lamborghini 350 TGV and by 1966 the famous Miura was unveiled and that was the beginning of the end of an era of great tractors and the launch of a supercar legendary brand. By 1972 Lamborghini had sold the tractor factory to tractor builder and competitor, SAME., and dedicated exclusively to making high quality sports car.
