Mandatory Credit: Photo by Fraser Gray/Shutterstock (11026835c) The former CMV cruise ship MV Vasco Da Gama is pictured finally leaving the Thames cruising past her former fleet mate Astoria.Vasco Da Gama has been laid up in Tilbury Docks since spring 2020 for a total of 203 days, following the pandemic that caused the Vasco Da Gama's operator CMV to fall into administration. Three of CMV's ships detained in Tilbury docks, were sold in a forced auction by the firm's creditors, Vasco Da Gama and Columbus were purchased by Marios IIliopoulos the owner of the Greek ferry company Seajet.
